OEM AE86 GT-S Oil Pressure gauge adjusting

The oil pressure gauge in the GT-S gauge clusters often seem unwilling to react while the engine is running. It drives me nuts.

 

One day while taking apart the cluster I realized that the gauge is actually adjustable and it even looked like the beige coloured wire coil had begun to fall off one of its mounting points. I moved the adjusting arm a little bit and carefully put the coiled wire back where it should be. When everything was put back together, my gauge seemed to be more sensitive, and displaying a reading that actually made sense to me (1/4 at idle, 3/4 at full throttle). Neat huh?
